Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome to our FAQ page! We’re covering our most asked questions. We’ll answer all your top questions in the list below.
Why is it important for the candle to fully melt when lit for the first time?
It is important because Candles have memory. When you distinguish the flame early it will burn up to where it stopped the previous time and it will cause tunneling. In order to have a beautiful burned candle and to take advantage of the fragrance fully it is best that the candle be burned for 4 hours the first burn.
Why do I need to cut the wicks each time I burn my candle?
Cutting your wicks each burn is VERY important as it not only leaves your wax white it also is less dangerous. When the wicks are continuously being burned without cutting you are causing: toxins to be released in the air, black soot, the wicks to work even harder which can be dangerous and overheat the jar/glass breaking.
Why can't I burn my candles more than 4 hours?
It is recommended not to go past 4 hours because it will cause your fragrance to burn faster as the wicks are too long at the 4 hour mark. The glass can get too hot and it is safer to stay within the 3/4 hour mark after the first burn. If you choose to keep it on we recommend cutting the wicks so you are not breathing in toxins/black soot.
Why is there a brown ring in my Candle Tin? Is that rust?
No, of course not! The browning is from fragrances that have vanillin in them. The vanillin over time causes discoloration with the wax in the tin jar. This will not affect the candle or scent. It is just something that happens since vanillin is so strong in color.
How long do Wax Melts last?
Our Melts can last awhile depending on how long you are burning them per day. Usually depending on how strong the scent is our 6 count clamshells usually last about a month.
How do I clean my warmer once I am done with the Wax Melt?
The easiest way we have found is to melt the wax and grab about 5 cotton balls then let them soak up all of the wax. You can use the soaked cotton balls as a firestarter or just simply toss them. Add in a cube or two in your warmer and you are good to go!
